Hi Wesley,
Take a look at http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/mouse.txt If you can predict that the problem will occur within 3-4 days could you try simply assigning the wheel mouse button to Enter and see if it happens again soon. AND REPORT back. If you don't want to experiment update your mouse drivers. Nothing works for everybody, and nothing works permanently but I've only had the problem once in a couple of years now connected to PS/2 but the last six months on USB so I could use a separate keyboard. --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Wesley Dennett via OfficeKB.com" wrote in message ... When I double click on the Excel spreadsheet, it opens with the default "Book1" and cell A.1 is selected, and it seems as though the shift key is being held down, even though it isn't because where ever I move my mouse it just highlights cells from that point (A.1). I've seen this in two different PC's now...both laptops, but one was using a mouse and the other was using the touchpad. It doesn't happen all the time. |
