I have used Excel on this computer and with this software for over three
years. Now every time I click on the icon, it downloads Excell. No changes
have been made to software or added hardware. Tried moving Icon from start
menu but still no help. Works great untill I shut down computer and restart.

What do you mean by "download"?

Did you mean to say the Windows Installer attempts to install Excel?

I would try to re-register Excel.

Close Excel first and On the Windows Taskbar

StartRun "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)OK.

See the space between exe and /regserver

You might have to designate a full path to excel.exe.

In that case StartRun "C:\yourpath\excel.exe" /regserver(quotes
required)OK
