Default Office measurement options

In previous versions of Office I was able to change the measurement option to
points (pts) which made it easier to perform micro adjustments to margins and
cell functions. Points divide the standard inch ruler into 72 "points" which
allowed for more diffinitive adjustments and eliminated the decimal function
when entering measurements. The only thing available in the excel options
advance features is "inches", "centimeters", and "milimeters". Am I missing
something?
