Windows Taskbar

I am running windows xp. Have excel 2003
When i set up to open multible excel documents under one taskbar button
everything works fine.
When i set up to open in seperate buttons the first opens fine, the second
opens very slow & sometimes won't open until first taskbar button is clicked.
