You could change the format of the cell, but if you want the ()'s to show up for
negative numbers in the format|cells|number tab, you'll have to change a windows setting. Windows start button|control panel regional and language options regional options tab click the customize button currency tab change the negative currency format to show ()'s. Already tried this route and has no effect on Excel.
In excel 200 under the format currency it showed up with 4 options, one set with brackets and one with minus symbol. Now all I see is the minus symbol. Dave
I had to change the format option under currency as well and then it worked. Thanks Andrew "Dave Peterson" wrote: I'd try it again. It works ok for me in WinXP and xl2003. Actually, you only had to change the format under the currency tab:
Windows start button|control panel regional and language options regional options tab click the customize button currency tab change the negative currency format to show ()'s. You can change the format on the Number tab back to what it was before. AndrewM wrote: Dave I had to change the format option under currency as well and then it worked.
