If you just want to change the name for comments in Excel, go to
ToolsOptionsGeneralUser Name.

Make your change in that dialog.

For a global change for all your MS Office Suite you can do a Registry hack

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\C ommon\UserInfo

In right-side window right-click on "UserName" and Modify.

If you go the Registry route, make sure you backed it up first with a System
Restore Point.
