Default Excel 2007 and Windows 2000 Pro

I have a copy of Excel 2007. I tried in vain to install it on my PC running
in Win2000 Pro. Is there a fix for this, other than to upgrade to XP or
higher?

You must upgrade your OS.

See here for system requirements.
