......when I open multiple spreadsheets in Excel 07, it opens (what appears
to be) an individual instance of Excel for each sheet that I open. Is there a way to have ONLY ONE INSTANCE of Excel open for as many sheets as I open (such that they are all accessible via the first instance of the program that I open)? I've looked through all the option settings but nothing seems to address this. Please help, thanks! |

Hi Jim
It is only opening one instance of Excel. You can change the display mode however, by choosing the round Office buttonExcel optionsAdvancedDisplay untick Show all Windows in taskbar. It is a matter of personal preference as to whether you see each workbook in the taskbar, and click it to activate, or whether you click the single Excel icon and scroll to the Workbook you wish to activate. I prefer the former. -- Regards Roger Govier "Jim Lally" wrote in message ... .....when I open multiple spreadsheets in Excel 07, it opens (what appears to be) an individual instance of Excel for each sheet that I open.
