I have an Excel document on a network share that people change throughout the
day. I have noticed that after a while I get an error on the original
document that says 'filename.xls' cannot be accessed This file may be
corrupted, located on a
server that is not responding or read only. I just notiecd that in the same
directory are a ton of files that have no extension or any hint of what kind
of files they are they just say C822BA00 for example and have no extension
not even .tmp. However when I double click them I find the info from the
original spread sheet with different info. Almost like each time a user
closes or opens the file a new extensionless file is created with the data.
Any idea what is happening here??? I am very confused. Thanks

How do control having more than one user edit the file at the same time?
