Default There are no files in the XLStart but the defaults are not restore

I had a lesson that had me to build a Book.xlt. I deleted it from the XLStart
up but when I open a new woorkbook it still opens wit one sheet and when I
push shift+F11 it still adds the sheet I created but there is nothing in the
XLStartup file. I don't know how to change it so that when I open a new
workbook it opens with three sheets. I tryed the tools menue and options,
general tab it is set but hasn't changed anything I need help.

Are you sure that you have the correct XLStart directory? Do a

?application.startuppath

from the VBIDE immediate window.
