Hi Jessee,
Please explain what "splitting a column" means. Can you give an example? -- Kind regards, Niek Otten "Jessee" wrote in message ... | | I have a spreadsheet with column headings. ![]() Hi Niek, I have a column named "Product". Beneath it I would like the product column split into two columns, one named "Qty" and one named "Amount". Hope this helps! For the Product heading, look at
FormatCellsAlignment tab, check Merge Cells. -- Kind regards, Niek Otten "Jessee" wrote in message ... | | Hi Niek, | | I have a column named "Product". ![]() The word "Product" should be in a cell by itself. "Qty" and "Amount" should each be in their own columns in the next row (with a line to separate each column) directly beneath the word "Product". I didn't seem to achieve this desired result. Thanks again. -- Jessee ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jessee's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=34083 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=538449 |

![]() If "Product" is in cell A1, and your product lists start in cells A1 and B2, the suggestion above should work. Hilite cells A1 and B1, and click the Merge & Center button (or do it through the cell formatting menus). "Products" will be perfectly centered above the A and B columns. -- BruceP ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BruceP's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=33653 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=538449 |
