Default transferring from excel to text

I am trying to take a couple of columns from an excel spreadsheet to a plain
text format. I can not copy and paste because it takes the cells and formats
it so the words and numbers are no all over the page. HELP PLEASE???

File save as select Formatted text in the save as drop down
