Vlookp up - sort of
Hi, I'm trying to combine a list of numbers, text and vlookup. In column A I have a list of numbers in descending order (1, 2, 3 etc). In column B I have a list of text (syd, melb, adel etc). In column C I have a list numbers that relate to the cells in column B. For example if syd is typed into column B2, column C2 is equal to the value 100 What I would like to do is be able to type text (syd, melb, adel etc) into a cell, in column D, and have the value that corresponds to that cell from column C be generated automatically underneath. So, from the example above I would type the text Syd in cell D1, and the figure 100 would appear in cell D2. Any ideas on how I could achieve this? Help appreciated, Nik -- Ntisch ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ntisch's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=5791 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=476724 |
