Scatter graphs, excel 11 mac user

I'm trying to create a scattergraph with text values in columns (5 columns) along the x axis and numerical values along the y axis (with range from 60-1400). Can anyone help? My aim is to have a vertical line of dots (y axis) above each column (x axis) that can give the reader a quick visual of numerical range.
