Why can't I edit my excel document? Edit buttons shaded.
When I try to edit my excel document, the buttons on the task bar are shaded
and I cannot cut, paste, etc. Why? |
Hi Art,
I expect you have protected the worksheet http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/grayedout.htm --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Arl @ CBC" <Arl @ wrote in message ... It sounds like the worksheet or workbook is protected. Take a look at the
protection features in the Tools Menu. Regarda |:) "Arl @ CBC" wrote: When I try to edit my excel document, the buttons on the task bar are shaded and I cannot cut, paste, etc. Why? |
Thanks. I figured it out. I had to activate the software. It is relatively
new and I hadn't done the phone activation yet. Therefore, it wouldn't allow me to do anything. "CyberTaz" wrote: It sounds like the worksheet or workbook is protected.
