Can you please tell me if it is possible to create parent/child type
sheet.

I need a part number like CAT1234 with a + before or after it and the
when I click on the + I get a list of child parts relating to the
parent part number (similar to the way it works within MS Project.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Thank you

Dave

I think this may be the simplest approach:

Set up a parts table where Column1 contains the System Number and
Column 2 contains the Components. Be sure to use column headings.

Then create a Pivot Table, based on that list, whe
ROWS: System Numbers
DATA: Count of Components

That should generate a Pivot Table that lists all of your Systems.

When you double click on the "count of Components" for any System,
Excel will create a new worksheet that lists all of the Components for
that System.

Is that something you can work with?

Regards,
Ron
