Hi SarahKay The best thing to do to start learning macros is to record some and look at the code that has been generated. Choose something to do - hide rows, enter numbers, delete columns - anything! Then record it from Tools Macro Record New Macro. Look at the code generated by pressing alt + F11, and try and understand what it is doing. Three good websites to look at are (in no particular order): http://j-walk.com/ss/ http://www.cpearson.com http://www.contextures.com Design buttons using the forms toolbar or control toolbox (right click on your toolbar and select Forms or Control Toolbox) - Forms is easier for a beginner. Consider buying a book if you are serious - it is possible to self teach, many "power" Excel users are, but it's easier if you have a background in computers - and it does take many years. And calling back to sites like this for good hints and tips and above all, keep practicing - it does get easier! Good luck HTH DominicB -- dominicb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dominicb's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=18932 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=379308 |
