Default copy/paste vaules, not formulas

Is there an easier way to copy and paste the values of a cell without using
notepad? When i paste directly to new column the formulas get copied--i
only want to paste the final values...
Makes sense?
Jeremy

Copy. Choose Edit/Paste Special. Select the Values radio button. Click
OK.

ok, so when you paste to a new column, go to edit---paste special...
then click in the button values!

that should work! ;)

Hi Jeremy,
see http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel...houtformatting
for five methods more detail on the above page.
1) paste to formula bar, 2) use notepad, 3) Edit, Paste Special, values,
4) use Steve Miller's "Pure Text", 5) use a macro
