I am a novice with EXCEL 2007 so I don't use it for what it was probably
created for--calculations, computations, etc. Thus, I'm an infrequent user and don't have any big projects that would normally slow down the functions. However, it takes anywhere from 15-60 seconds for ANY command to register. I have the Student Edition of MS Office and when I initially installed it (about 1 year ago) it was speedy and easy to create simple text and tables. In the last 6 months, the program does not run correctly and I often get a (not responding) in the header bar whenever I type or choose a command. Because of this, I usually revert to creating tables in WORD 2007 which seems more tedious and time-consuming than using EXCEL. Is there anything I can do to eliminate the slow response? I have already tried: -repair/remove -uninstall/reinstall -run diagnostics Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem? Thanks, a novice user |
