I'm relaying this message for a friend who does not have Usenet access.
He wants to use Excel as a database of members, the usual name, address, tel, email, plus 'Team' and 'Points'. This 'points' field contains the number of points that individual members starts with and is then tied in with the 'Team' field so that if , say, the 'Red' team win 1 point he can somehow enter this somewhere on the page and all Red team members will have 1 point added, it is also possible for them to have a point deducted In addition, each individual can also have points added or subtracted. There will be a total of approx 200 members initially How would he go about setting this up? Any help appreciated -- Ron |

We need more details on the layout of the worksheet
If the points are always entered into the same cell for a certain team then only a VBA solution will be possible best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme Microsoft Excel MVP http://people.stfx.ca/bliengme remove caps from email "Ron O'Brien" wrote in message ... At this point in time the layout has not been designed / created. It is
currently undertaken in a book - he wants to 'get modern' and make use of his Microsoft Office product to automate the database. I'm beginning to think this maybe beyond the scope of this group but any pointers would be helpful. Ron "Bernard Liengme" wrote in message ...
