Accidental multiple cell pick selection
While working on Excel the mouse suddenly starts to select 4 cells in a
column. I can't get it to only select a single cell. I've spent a lot of time searching Help and this knowledge base for a solution? Probably something really simple but I need help! |

Were you holding down a key for a long period of time and got an error message stating that? If so, try holding that key down again until it gets undone. -- NBVC Where there is a will there are many ways. Accidental multiple cell pick selection
Not that I recall. I've tried various combinations of CTRL, ALT, etc. to try
and undo this and nothing seems to help. Also tried double clicking, right clicking, etc. Help files bring up nothing about "multiple cell selection" with a mouse pick. Is this a Windows problem and not an Excel one? "NBVC" wrote: Were you holding down a key for a long period of time and got an error message stating that? Accidental multiple cell pick selection
Hi,
1. First thing to try is pressing Esc. If you accidently press F8 you may be in Extend mode. Esc or pressing F8 again will take you out. The word Ext usually appears on the Status bar when you are in extend mode. 2. If the above fails - save your work and close out of Excel and reopen it. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
