Time format as hh:mm:ss
When inputing time as above, Excel is thinking it is a Time as AM or PM, but
actually it is a lapsed time. How do I get it to do just hh:mm:ss? Without placing in the : each time would be a timesaver as well. Regards, -- Dennis |

Time format as hh:mm:ss
Hi Dennis,
Choose another date format from the FormatCellsNumber tabTime list. If there isn't any without AM/PM, use a Custom format and format as hh:mm:ss (or choose other time settings in Windows International) Actually Excel doesn't know the difference between elapsed time and a point in time. Technically there is no difference; a point in time is decribed by the time passed since some starting point. But that is not easily recognised in the AM/PM format. -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "Dennis" wrote in message ... Time format as hh:mm:ss
You may also want to consider the custom format below if there are more than
24 hours: [h]:mm:ss -- If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Dennis" wrote: When inputing time as above, Excel is thinking it is a Time as AM or PM, but actually it is a lapsed time.
