Take a look a format | cells in the "special" category. There is
something very close and easily modified.

BTW I don't know if you intended to post a real phone#, but be aware
these things are easily googled for a name, address, and in this case,
photograph taken from the road.

000\-000\-0000

Or, using a formula in a helper cell:

=TEXT(A1,"000\-000\-0000")
