External Data Source from Excel Workbook with names
Hi, I have a workbook with four tables in four sheets. Each table's name is
defined as Example "=Sheet1!$A$1:INDEX(Sheet1!$H:$H,COUNTA(Sheet1!$A: $A))" so that the name includes newly added data. My question is, When I try to access this workbook as an external data source and select the workbook, it does not show me the defined names . What is the solution. I am using Excel 2000 Thanks Fowmy |

External Data Source from Excel Workbook with names
Hi,
There is no solution for seeing the dynamic range names, they don't display, even in the spreadsheet if you open the Name Box drop down you will not see them for the active spreadsheet, nor will you see them if you press F5. It appears that MS Query does not support dynamic range names. If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Fowmy" wrote: Hi, I have a workbook with four tables in four sheets.
