Hi,

I'm creating a work book with both a forecast sheet and a purchasing sheet,
I've 3D referenced these sheet to automatically create a purchasing list
based on a weekly forecasted total.

My issue is that I need my purchasing list to reference the forecast total
for the week. Then as new data is entered into the next week my purchasing
list automatically references the next week's forecast total.

Can this be done or is there a better way to accomplish this function?

Hi Ryan,

One way to accomplish this although it is not very sophisticated is if on
the sheet with the forecast total, if the entries run down the column instead
of across the page, you can insert a blank column in front of the columns
that contain the data you want to be referenced by the totals sheet. Whenever
you enter new data for the new week, you can place a marker in the cell in
the new column next to your data (like an "X" or a checkbox referencing that
cell) and then use a lookup formula to look for the "X" in that column to
pull the data in that row. You'd have to make sure you blank out the previous
weeks marker.
