Default Protection Question

I have an Excel 2003 worksheet protected, with selected cells unlocked for
editing. I just noted that while these cells can have values entered
normally, comments cannot be entered. Is there another trick I missed.

Default Protection Question

Protect the worksheet, but allow the user to edit objects
