Default Counting number of rows

I have taken information from other sources and want to count how many rows I
have without physically counting them as they have been inserted into the
worksheet out of sequence. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Lynne

=COUNTA(A:A)
will give you the number of cells in column A with data
