Default entering multiple command formulas

I need to enter a formula that will subtract two cells without getting a
negative, then divide that number by 2. Any suggestions?

Try this
=IF((A2A1),0,IF(((A1-A2)/2)<0,0,A1-A2/2))

This will result in required answer or 0

Just to explain -
If A2 is greater than A1 put 0, if A2 is less than A1 try...
If A1-A2 divided by 2 is less than 0 put 0, if it is greater than 0
put answer of A1-A2 / 2

Hope this helps you understand "nested" IF statements
