Default excel all cells begin with hyphen now

I some how set all the cells in my excel workbooks to put a hyphen before
text I type in - This is now afecting my hyper links - I dont remember how I
did it and cant turn it off. Can someone help????

I can duplicate your problem if I set the cell format to:

"-" @

Then Excel places a hyphen at the start of every cell after I enter
some information. You might want to check the worksheet formatting,
especially if you have a default workbook (book.xlt).
