Default Using <PgDn changes active cell.

According to my book, if I make C11 the active cell by selecting it, then hit
<PgDn to navigate the worksheet, C11 should still remain the active cell.
However, that isn't the case. When I press <PgDn my active cell reference
changes to C40, then C69, etc. Could you please explain what I'm doing
incorrectly?
