yes, but i have to type that code every time i open excel.What i really want
to know is there a way that, once i set the date it has to update
automaticaly and appear in a cell when i open excel.

If you put =TODAY() in a cell, then whenever you open the spreadsheet, the
date will appear in that cell and be updated.
