I'm in excel and i need to put 1-30 and it automatically puts 30Jan when i go
to the next cell and can i change that?

Janet, format the cell as text first or put a ' in front of it, it want show

Preformat the cell as text, then type the entry
or
start your entry with an apostrophe: '1-30
