: how do i perform student t test for scientific experiment to compare between control and tested groups Get your Shift key and ? key fixed, then click Tools | Data Analysis. (There's a TTEST function, but it's for a one-population Student's t and you seem to have vtwo populations.) If Data Analysis doesn't appear in the menu, then install the Analysis Toolpak. You may need to install Analysis Toolpak VBA as well; I'm not certain, but it can't hurt. -- "The Internet is famously powered by the twin engines of bitterness and contempt." -- Nathan Rabin, /The Onion/ Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Tompkins County, New York, USA http://OakRoadSystems.com/ |

You are mistaken about TTEST being limited. The three arguments for the
final argument (type) of the TTEST worksheet function choses among the three types of t-tests that can also be done by the Analysis ToolPak. Both approaches are documented in Help. I was flat wrong about it being a one-population test, and I appreciate the correction. -- "The Internet is famously powered by the twin engines of bitterness and contempt." -- Nathan Rabin, /The Onion/ Stan Brown, Oak Road Systems, Tompkins County, New York, USA http://OakRoadSystems.com/ |
