Default Blue screen

It seems to be a problem with the Solver Add In.

This is odd, but as I could access the keyboard commands (though still not
see my spreadsheets) I went into Excel options and tried turning off the
addins. Wioth the Solver Add in disabled, Files open normally and excel
opens normally . Once it is reactivated, I'm back to the blue screen. As I
need the solver for my work, can I uninstall it from the system and
re-install it?

I'm having the same issue and can't access anything. It started off
randomly, now all files open to a blue screen with Ready in upper left corner
and a zoom slide bar on upper right corner. I can access keyboard commands
and see the appropriate comman letter, but not the menus or the file. Execl
opes this way and I simply can't get it to do anything else. Help!

Excel 2007 takes its time opening. Runs virus checks. It depends on how fast
your machine is, too.
