Default how do i do a getpivottable

I am very new to exel in general. However my boss is asking for a summary of
certain pivot tables to make a table itself. Where do i go from the very
beginning.

Default how do i do a getpivottable

The formula you need is a getpivotdata

It looks like this:
GETPIVOTDATA(data_field,pivot_table,field1,item1,f ield2,item2)

Th easiest way to use it, is to click in a blank cell, type = and then click
once in the data section of your pivot table, and it will give you a template
of what the formula should like for your specific table.
