Default Explanation of when & how to use ( ) { } : ; , ! etc?

Hi, is there somewhere I can find out in laymans terms, when and how,
different parenthesis, braces colons, etc, should be used and the reasons for
there usage, within excel formulae. Have done all the usual Google searches.

Thanks, keen beginner.

Helpbooleanabout calculation operators will give you a pretty good list.

{ } braces usually denote the enclosed operation is an array.

See help on arraysabout array formulas and constants.

Gord, thanks very, very much. Right there all the time. Easy when you know
how! If you have the time, in plain English, what is an array?
