Format cells for special characters

I downloaded a "to do List" that has a function whereby entering "a" into the
cell, brings back the checkmark unicode character.

How is this set up?

Format cells for special characters

If the cell is formatted as Marlett font, typing an "a" will enter the
checkmark.

InsertSymbol will open a dialog so's you can see a list of fonts, characters
and the ascii number for each.

Or just StartRun "charmap" to open the Windows CharMap
