Does anyone know how to change the menus and toolbars in Excel 2007 to be
just like Excel 2003. I do everything on the keyboard and all of these icons are driving me crazy |

There is no "classic view". You need to get used to the ribbon interface.

Not so fast. See he
http://groups.google.com/group/micro...68e4c18e7fd e There are people developing custom add ins to modify the ribbon/replicate the menu structure of old. Dave -- A hint to posters: Specific, detailed questions are more likely to be answered than questions that provide no detail about your problem. You can add a menu with the old commandbars code
See this example, it will not change the ribbon http://www.rondebruin.nl/qat2.htm -- Regards Ron de Bruin http://www.rondebruin.nl/tips.htm "Gina" wrote in message ... Does anyone know how to change the menus and toolbars in Excel 2007 to be just like Excel 2003. I do everything on the keyboard and all of these icons are driving me crazy I could be wrong, because I don't have Office 2007 here, but I think all of the key commands still work. I pulled this from a MS site. The site does a pretty good job of walking you through the options. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...CH100648241033 If you're still unconvinced and you just want your old shortcuts back, then rest assured: Most of them will still work. However, you'll need to know the full shortcut from memory. There are no on-screen reminders of what keys you need to press. Here's how it works. In the previous version of Office, you pressed ALT, E to open the Edit menu, and then you pressed the underlined letter in a command on the menu. In the 2007 Office system Ribbon programs, when you press ALT and then one of the old menu keys, you won't open a menu. Instead, you'll see a message telling you that you're using an Office 2003 access key and to press ESC to cancel. If you know the key sequence you want, you can just carry on and initiate the command. Otherwise, do as the box says and press ESC to see the Key Tip badges. There's a link to more information about this in the Quick Reference Card. gls858 |

You can also minimize the ribbon using the Ctrl+F1 toggle which leaves only the tabs. Single-click on a tab to see the full ribbon again and it'll automatically disappear when you're done. gls858 |
