Default Auto_open and more....

in tools-macro-visual basic editor. navigate to 'Workbook' and then in the
dropdown select the 'before close' option and use the following

Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)
ActiveWorkbook.Save
End Sub
