I am using an excel sheet which is shared across a network. This
workbook has links to several workbooks. The workbook needs to remain shared & protected while its on the network. Sharing and protecting works fine. However, i have observed that when the workbook is shared and protected, the links can still be broken / updated. This should not be allowed. When the workbook is shared and protected, the users viewing the workbook should not be able to update or break the links. Is there an option in excel that i am overlooking that does not allow users to update links in a shared workbook? Please assist. |
