Default how can i get EXcel to add up letters in a specific color?

i am trying to have the letter S show up in a list of contents and basically
at thend i want it to tally that if a letter in the columns is green tally it
as one. in the one next to it i want it to say if the letter is red tally as
one etc. Is this possible it is urgent!
