Excel cell alignment
Currently (Excel 2003) the cell alignment vertical and horizontal is handled
by drop-down lists. So setting the alignment for a cell needs: 1. Selecting vertical alignnment. Minimum 2 clicks or more in case you need to scroll 2. Selecting horizontal alignment. Minimum 2 clicks or more in case you need to scroll Basically it may involve 6 clicks just to select formatting and minimum 3 more clicks to call the toolbar and OK etc. Solution: SHould have a more graphics based solution for example a 3 by 3 grid that lets you select vertical/horizontal formatting in a single click, e.g., top-right, centre-centre or bottom -right etc. The lesser used formatting options justify etc. could be stored in a drop-down. In case you still want to use drop-down, the length of the drop-down must be increased to all the options that are there. This is true of a lot of places in the current office GUI.
