Is it possible to transfer text from cells in a row so that they form a
single column. In other words is it possible to turn a row 90 degrees so that the cells which were beside each other now are underneath each other. |

Is it transposition you are referring to?
Highlight the cells, copy and go to paste special. The tranposition check box is in the bottom right hand corner.
