Default cursor movement

I am using an excel worksheet and when I enter the cells across and hit enter
it just goes down to the next line in the cell. I have excel on another
computer at a different job and when I hit enter it goes back to the cell A
of the next row and I wanted to know if there is a way to get the other excel
worksheet on a different computer to do the same.

'tools'...'options'.....'edit'...'Move selection after enter' click on the
drop down list and choose where you want the cursor to go when hitting enter.

I have tried that but it doesn't give me what i need. I want to be able to
enter info in column a, b, c, d on line 1 then hit enter and go right to line
2 column a. I can't seem to get that to work.

Set your ENTER key to move doen upon leaving the cell.

Then use the Tab key to move across from cell to cell.

When you reach last cell, hit the ENTER key to go back to original column and
down one row.

i.e. start in A1....Tab across to H1 filling in your data on the way.

When leaving H1 hit the ENTER key to go to A2
