I WISH TO SORT THE FOLLOWING DATA:
1001
1001P
1002
1002P
ETC
WHEN I DO A SORT IT SORTS AS FOLLOWS"
1001
1002
1001P
1002P
THIS IS NOT CORRECT, PLEASE HELP, VERY FRUSTRATING

Robert

Excel is sorting properly.

Sorts numbers before text which is the nature of your data.

If you want to sort by number, you will have to break the mixed cells into two
cells and sort on the numbers.
