Default how do I sort a column with several categories (ie red and blue)

I am trying to sort a column that contains 2 or more things, like red and
blue and yellow. How can I sort them based on 1 colour (ie, yellow)?

You could add a column to the table, and use some of Chip Pearson's code
for extracting colour values. Then, sort on the new column.
