=MAX(IF(mission=A1,departure_date))
which is an array formula, it should be committed with Ctrl-Shift-Enter, not just Enter. -- HTH Bob Phillips (replace xxxx in email address with googlemail if mailing direct) "Marc" wrote in message ... How can I search the minimum and maximum values of the rows that follow a specific condition? e.g. A mission means having to travel to a set of destinations. Columns are Mission, Destination, Arrival and Departure. How can I build a formula that for a specific mission, searches the lowest arrival date and highest departure date? In that way I will know from which day to which day was the mission. If I could do an array I would do MAX((mission=A1)*(departure_date)) Thank you |
