Default Incremental Formulae in Excel

I'm sure I have done this in the past but can't remember how.
I am setting up a worksheet to record monthly payments.
I want a running total of these payments and a decreasing running total of
the initial lump sum.
ie. C2 = C1 +A2 extended for say 60 months.
E2 = E1 - A2 _______,,_______________

There must be an easier way than entering each new formula.
