how do I apply 10% gray shade to a cell in Excel?
I would like to use the lighter shading that is available in Word. It
appears that the lightest shading available in Excel is 25%. |

Hi!
Goto ToolsOptionsColor tab You can have only the number of color selections that are displayed in the color pallet. You can modify any existing color but you can't add additional colors. So, maybe select the 25% gray square then click Modify. You can then select a different gradient. Then OK your way out. Biff "myraddin" wrote in message ... Phantastic..!!
Thank you so much--I have been attempting to find the answer to this one for so long. Now I know to use the Excel Discussion Group. Hi! You're welocme. Thanks for the feedback!
Just to add: You can also create your own custom colors but the number of color selections available still cannot be changed. If you create a new color one of the existing colors will be replaced by that new color. Biff "myraddin" wrote in message ... Phantastic..!!
