Default how to copy sheets keeping defined column widths

probably something simple; however, in an attempt to increase the size of my
spreadsheet, i've copied an existing worksheet to another, blank worksheet.
But, when the new sheet pastes, i find myself having to re-size the widths
every time. is there something i'm missing, or do i just have to re-size each
& every copy?
sincerely,

Cliff
